Guadalajara

This is Mexico’s second-largest city, and capital of the Jalisco state. It has an amazingly colorful historic center, contrasted with an ultra-modern business/shopping/dining district known as Zapopan.

Funny story here – I arrived on a night of heavy rains, and had to carry my bags overhead while walking through water to reach the hotel. Had to enter from the back door through the kitchen as the front entrance was completely flooded!
