This charming and historic city, know is Firenze in Italian, is the capital of the famous region of Tuscany (Toscana) and was home to many well-known cultural figures of the Renaissance period. These include the poet Dante Alighieri, and artists Michelangelo & Leonardo Da Vinci. The city is also famous for it’s built-up bridge known as Ponte Vecchio, and the enormous Cathedral of Santa Maria.

I camehere in the summer of 2025 when the city was packed with foreign tourists, and was driving a rental car to visit multiple cities across Italy. Upon reaching the center of Florence I faced the challenge fo driving into very narrow roads full of people walking and was certainly at the edge of my nerves!

After parking the car I was able to walk around the amazing historic district, and was lucky to catch the timing of beautiful senset over the river & bridges:
