Brisbane is a beautiful part of eastern Australia with mild weather year-round and a slew of attractions nearby (mainly in the Gold Coast, just a short drive away). The city itself has a stunning natural setting, caught between the mountains and the beach and build around a winding, cliffy river — this is captured very elegantly in the aerial photos you will see.
The people of Brisbane seem very outdoorsy; you will seem them hiking or doing yoga and Tai Chi by the river banks, or laying out in the artificial beach downtown. Among other attractions here are the ferris wheel and 1km-long flower tunnel (the Arbour) at the South Bank Parklands.
I visited here back in 2012 and more recntly 2024. Got a chance to see all parts of this amazing city and experience it like a local, mostly by scooter!
