This is the quaint capital city of Latvia, in the Baltic regions of Northern Europe. I visited this city twice (in 2011 & 2022) and posted photos here from the most recent trip only. I had a rental car here and was able to drive around different parts of the city that most tourists may not see, but of course spent time in the charming old town district as well – with its maze-like streets full of shops and cafes and music – as well as the nice riverfront area with amazing bridges. Days are quite long here in the summer (the sun is out until nearly midnight) and visiting in the winter is not recommended!
