I was truly impressed with Glasgow as a modern design city and shopping hub, as I had expected to see an old and slow place. You will see below the astounding amount of modern architecture, shopping centers, and active people lining the streets.
I visited here in October 2012 and the weather was mostly rainy/windy, but that didn’t stop me from taking a big stroll around the city and capturing the sights that matter! The arrival scenes over the vast Scottish countryside are equally impressive.
A few aerial shots to show the scenic countryside and lakes/rivers around the city — caught a rainbow by surprise!
Update: new photos added at the bottom from a more recent visit in spring 2023

Some pictures from around the calm & colorful riverfront area, mostly residential

Walking around the modern business district & train station, nice rainbow visible in some shots
