Doha is the capital of Qatar, a prominent city facing the Arabian/Persian Gulf. This wealthy city has grown and flourished tremendously in recent years, and was further shot into global fame by hosting the football World Cup in 2022. Visitiors here would see a mix of ultra-modern facilities and also old heritage markets & cultural centers.
Being within my home region, I was able to visit Doha several times over the years, mostly during winter months (as summers are not pleasant here). I toured a lot car car to see the colorful array of fancy buildings, malls, shopping plazas, and waterfront installations that make this city so unique. Also got some pictures from the air showing the lavish island estates built up on reclaimed land around the coast.
