This huge city is the capital of Mexico, known for short as “CDMX”. With its large population and moderate year-round weather, the city has become a massive hub of business and entertainment for the region. It has many modern, safe upscale areas reminiscent of Europe and also other slum areas which are less safe, therefore it’s advisable to stay in the newer, cleaner districts.
Some famous areas include Reforma (modern business hub), Roma and Polanco which are home to classy food & nightlife. The city also has many museums showcasing the rich archeological & cultural history of the region. Some of the photos below are from my visits to a new art gallery and the museum of Mayan history. I visited here in the summers of 2021 and 2023.
Let’s start with some photo from Paseo Reforma area which I stayed in, home to the most modern hotel and skyscrapers in the region. It’s basically a wide road lined with buildings and monuments, which is sometime closed for events such as bicycle races etc.

Next are some other popular business & shopping areas, shown by day & evening (that cool curvy building is an art gallery):

This is stylish old town area with colorful windows & balconies, ornate churches, lively street markets, and the main capital square from colonial times:

Now here are photos from the Mayan museum and its surrounding gardens:

Lastly just an aerial photo that shows just have huge this area really is!
