Cape Town

This is a lovely coastal city at the southern tip of Africa, blessed with scenic mountains and pleasant weather all year-round. I visited here in November of 2021, when there were still some travel restrictions in place from the pandemic.

Although I didn’t have a chance to go up the famous Table Mountain, I saw the city itself and waterfront areas quite well, trying some of local food in the midst. Update: I visited again in 2024 and saw many more areas including the mountain and beaches — see newer photos further below.

Let’s start with some photos of the main city center:

Next is the amazing waterfront district with restaurants, boat marinas and attraction parks — photos by day & night:

Lastly here’s a large and impressive shopping mall I had visited as well (called Canal Walk, Century City):

Now here’s the latest photo collection from February ’24, starting with the beautiful area around this mall mentioned above (I stayed here this time):

Next are some newer pictures from the waterfront area:

the rest are from a long open-bus tour I took covering the business and art districts, mountain views, and coastal beaches lined with lavish homes

Finally come aerial shots on departure showing the vast area and mountains all the way to the tip of the Cape of Good Hope!
